Construction and year-round maintenance
Pools & water
Reinforced concrete pools built from excavation to first fill, and maintenance contracts on pools we did not build. Balance tanks, plant rooms and pipework are pressure-tested and recorded before anything is covered.
A pool is a water-retaining structure with a plant room attached, and almost everything that goes wrong with one was decided before the tiling went on. We build in reinforced concrete, pressure-test the pipework and water-test the shell before anything is covered, and keep the records. We also take on maintenance for pools built by somebody else — which is how we see most of the faults worth avoiding.
What this covers
Pool installation
Excavation, steel, shotcrete or poured shell, waterproofing, tiling or plaster finish, plant room, filtration, heating and chilling, lighting and first fill with water balanced and handed over.
Pool maintenance
Scheduled visits for water testing and dosing, vacuuming, brushing, filter backwash and media changes, pump and heater servicing, with a written record left after each visit.
Fountains and water features
Formal fountains, spillover walls and reflection pools, including nozzles, pumps, lighting and the control panel.
Pool waterproofing
Cementitious and membrane systems to pool shells, balance tanks and planters, water-tested for 72 hours and signed off before tiling.

Common questions
How long does it take to build a pool?
For a typical villa pool, eight to twelve weeks from excavation to a balanced first fill, assuming approvals are in place. Excavation and steel take about two weeks, the shell and its curing another two, then waterproofing and the 72-hour water test, then tiling, plant room and commissioning. Rain, approval delays and changes after the steel is fixed are what usually extend it.
Will you maintain a pool you did not build?
Yes, and it is a large part of what we do. We start with a survey of the plant room and the pipework so we know what we have taken on, then work to a scheduled visit for testing and dosing, vacuuming, brushing, filter backwash and pump servicing. A written record is left after every visit, so you can see what was done rather than take it on trust.
Does a pool in Dubai need heating or chilling?
Chilling matters more than heating here. Without it an uncovered pool can sit above 35°C through the summer, which is unpleasant to swim in and hard on the water chemistry. Heating is worth having for December through February. A reversible heat pump does both, and we size it against the surface area rather than the volume, because that is where the heat moves.
How it runs
From the first site visit to the maintenance schedule.
The same four steps whether it is a single pool or twenty-two villa roofs.
- 01
Site visit and survey
We come to the property, measure, take levels and photograph what is already there — including what is under the paving.
- 02
Written quotation
A fixed price against a written scope, with a start date. Normally back with you within two working days of the visit.
- 03
Build
Our own men and our own supervisor, working to your programme and permit system. Daily records signed on site.
- 04
Handover and upkeep
Water tests and pressure tests recorded, then a written maintenance schedule for the planting, irrigation and pool plant.

Not sure which of these you need?
Most villas need two or three at once. Send the address and we will tell you what the property actually needs before we price anything.
